You only need three arpeggio ideas to unlock a huge jazz vocabulary: the basic 4-note arpeggio, the arpeggio from the 3rd, and chromatic approaches. Combine them with rhythm and direction, and arpeggios stop sounding like exercises and start sounding like real jazz lines.
